ION SENSE Introduces Expanded NextPM Range.
ION SENSE, specialising in advanced sensing technologies, has expanded its particulate matter (PM) portfolio with new sensor solutions designed for environmental monitoring, HVAC, smart buildings and construction. The expanded range provides OEMs and system integrators with flexible options for accurate, real-time particulate monitoring across a wide range of operating environments.
Building on the success of the NextPM sensor, these new additions provide highly accurate, real-time PM1, PM2.5, and PM10 measurements in both μg/m³ and pcs/L. Unlike alternative market solutions that rely on estimations, the ION SENSE PM range delivers direct, ultra-precise data across particle sizes from 0.3 to 10 μm in diameter, even in extreme conditions.
The NextPM Portfolio:
NextPM: Designed for environmental monitoring, industrial air quality and smart building applications, NextPM combines patented airflow management with long-term measurement stability. The sensor provides PM1, PM2.5 and PM10 measurements with up to 10,000 hours of maintenance- and calibration-free operation.
NextPM Advanced: Designed for HVAC systems, air handling units and duct monitoring, NextPM Advanced uses an external pump configuration to maintain stable sampling under varying pressure conditions while extending the measurement range to 10,000 µg/m³.
PMSCAN: Designed for rapid assessment of the NextPM sensor across a wide range of applications, this compact, portable solution is also ideal for personal exposure monitoring, worker safety, citizen science, and public health assessments. Embedding the core NextPM sensor, the device features Bluetooth connectivity, internal memory, multi-platform app compatibility (iOS, Android, Windows), and up to 15 hours of battery life for tracking air pollution exposure in everyday settings.
“Demand for reliable particulate matter monitoring continues to grow across environmental monitoring, smart buildings, industrial facilities and occupational health,” said Dr Peter Morris, Head of Sensors at ION SENSE. “By expanding the NextPM portfolio, we are giving OEMs and system integrators greater flexibility to select the most appropriate sensing solution for their application while maintaining the measurement performance and long-term stability expected from ION SENSE technologies.”
The particulate matter portfolio complements ION SENSE’s established MiniPID 2 VOC sensor range, enabling comprehensive air quality monitoring solutions for OEM instrument manufacturers.
Visitors to AQE 2026 can see the NextPM portfolio alongside ION SENSE’s MiniPID 2 VOC sensors and discuss OEM integration with the technical team. For more information visit ionsense.com or contact sensors@ionsense.com.
